About

Behavioral Health Center is an alcohol and drug addiction treatment facility that is located at 700 Walter Reed Drive in Greensboro, North Carolina. Treating substance abuse involves multiple stages of treatment through a recovery program such as that offered by Behavioral Health Center. This can include group counseling, individual counseling, outpatient treatment, inpatient treatment, and medically assisted detox, among many others. Treatment programs are based on the individual themselves and are constructed to suit each patient individually. Just as every person is unique, so should treatment programs and that is exactly what patients will receive at Behavioral Health Center.

If addicts do not obtain the right type of support and guidance, they may find treatment to be very difficult as the thought of sobriety can seem so far-fetched. At Behavioral Health Center, professional counseling and guidance are provided to all patients aged 18+, giving them the strength needed in order to obtain a life that is free of drug and alcohol addiction. By altering the patient's outlook on life through addiction treatment, they will be able to stay positive throughout the duration of rehab.

The staff members at Behavioral Health Center have a mission and that is to give patients effective and quality addiction treatment so that long-lasting sobriety can be obtained. The path to a positive future starts on a positive foot and that begins at Behavioral Health Center. Confronting addiction is a difficult thing to do, but it is the most important step in the recovery process. Through professional counseling during the patient's time in treatment, patients will learn coping skills and trigger management which is imperative to the success of maintaining sobriety.

Maintaining sobriety on one's own is extremely difficult, especially when the addict has tried to go 'cold turkey' on their own. This is because it requires medically-assisted detox in order to properly and safely wean the body off of the substance of abuse. This way the body does not go through sudden withdrawal nor experience harsh side effects. Behavioral Health Center can provide patients with all of the necessary tools, treatments, and resources so that patients have every opportunity to succeed in recovery.

I went voluntarily to behavioral because of suicidal ideation. Although most of my activity there was in group settings I was impressed by the personal attention I received as well. I had my meds adjusted and was set up with a therapist. It doesn’t feel like prison at all, more like being in a college dorm (with slightly better food). At first it worried me that depressives are thrown together with people there for substance abuse but I didn’t witness any upsetting behavior from anyone. They are very flexible in allowing visitors which helped me a lot. It’s important to remember that it’s not a miracle cure. When you go back to the “real world” you’ll still face the same issues, just hopefully better equipped to deal with them.

So far so good. Very pleasant staff. Very secure Adolescent wing. Just a couple issues. 1. Child/Adolescent visiting hours are 5:30pm to 6:45pm (NOT 7:00 as shown on the Moses Cone website). 2. They don't give you much info on the process of visitation.

Some staff forget where they are and how to treat people but the majority are awesome. If you are honest with them you shouldn't end up back there. Dr.Cobos or however you spell it is an amazing listener and very helpful. Thanks to all who worked memorial day weekend to care for me and everyone in there.

I'm a teenager who's been there twice. here's how it goes... if you want help, you'll get help, and most likely not hate it there. if you want help, but don't accept it, you'll hate it here, and if you don't want help, and don't accept help, you'll hate it here A LOT. this place has a very scheduled process, everyday. this place isn't a prison, and yes if you are a teenager your most likely here against your will, but this is still a chance for you to get help. yes some techs are rude, that's just they way it is. all of the nurses are extremely caring though. also we get a lot of free time, and get to leave our rooms a lot, we get to go outside, and we get to go to the gym, and they also cook their food, its not hospital food. we also get snack time throughout the day, and good snacks too. and yes, sadly we have to go to school for an 1hr 30mins a day, luckily its 5th grade work, so if your in high school, you should be good. anyway this place isn't as bad as the reviews make it seem.
