I've been going here for almost 6 years. They aren't perfect, but they do the best with what they have. Roxboro is a mini Detroit. When the mills closed, the people left. When the people left, so did the tax base. The local hospital and Mental Health Clinic operate on a shoestring budget, with a skeleton crew. If you have patience with them, they'll work with you. When I lost my insurance, I was just happy to be able to see a doctor. These people have saved my life, more than once by just being able to see me. P.S. I hope every Republican member of my state legislature falls face first up a flight of concrete steps for cutting the budget to small local medical facilities like this by refusing to expand Medicaid. Shame on every one of you. I hope #Karma raises her mighty hand and shows you what an actual pimp slap is for making it so damn hard for me to get proper medical care.
